2019 Kitselas Land Use Plan Draft

Thank you to all who participated in the planning process to update the 2019 Plan is a combination of your input and technical input from Staff and the Lands Advisory Committee and builds upon the hard work that went into the 2012 Plan.  We are looking to the community, on and off-Reserve (Members only) for their input on the draft Plan before it goes to Council for review and adoption.

There are a few ways you can share your input on the draft Plan:

Youth Interactive Session – Thursday April 24, 2019 at 4:30-6:30pm – Location: Kitselas Admin building

Gitselasu Elders Feedback session – Thursday April 25, 2019 at 10:00am – Location: Elders Centre in Gitaus

Elderberries Feedback Session – Thursday April 25, 2019 at 1:00pm – Location: Satellite Health Station in Kulspai

Community Interactive Session – Thursday April 25, 2019 at 5:00pm – Location: Kitselas Hall

Kitselas Notice of Nomination meeting 2019

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the electors of the Kitselas First Nation will be held at the Kitselas Administration/Health building at 2225 Gitaus Road, Terrace BC V8G 0A9 on Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 from 6:00pm to 9pm (local time) for the purpose of nominating candidates for the positions of Chief and Councilors of the Kitselas First Nation for the next term of office.

There are six (6) Councilor positions and one position for Chief available.

The election will be held at the same location on Wednesday June 12th, 2019.

Please note that any voter may nominate candidates by using a mail-in form. You can either deliver or mail-in a written nomination  and a completed, signed and witnessed voter declaration form to the Electoral Officer before the time set for the nomination meeting OR you may nominate candidates orally at the nomination meeting.

Mailed nominations not received by the Electoral Officer before the time set for the nomination meeting are void. Also note that any voter may vote by mail-in ballot.
